Chase Recap:

I’d end up in Eastern Oklahoma along I-40 looking at outflow dominant storms while other storms produced.

Stuck at work

I found myself stuck at the office until 5pm in Norman watching storms going up all around. As I left the office, I immediately took off east on SH-9. The original plan was to follow this stuff firing over my head to the east, and drop off to the south in quick measure.

As I headed east on 9, I started getting interested in a cell along I-44 near Stroud. I started heading northeast towards that storm, but was too far behind. Mike Scantlin reported a tornado on that storm, but I just stuck with the original storm I was on.

Outflow Dominant storm

Somewhere around Okemah it became outflow dominant. However, NWS Tulsa kept issuing Tornado warnings on the storm, so I continued to the east. At one point, there was a report from media of a tornado near Muskogee. I’m pretty sure it was just this shelfy feature.

I ended up following the storm east to Lake Eufala where I finally dropped off it and headed home.
